INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SPACE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY (IIST) Thiruvananthapuram recently released the Notification about Admission to the Four year B.Tech Undergraduate Programmes in IIST Thiruvananthapuram for the Academic year 2013-14. IIST is Asia’s first Space Institute and the first in the world to offer the complete range of undergraduate, post graduate, doctoral programmes with specific focus to space science, technology and applications.More Details of IIST B.Tech Admission 2013 is mention below.
B.Tech. PROGRAMMES AT IIST :
IIST offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programmes in three branches, namely
(i) Aerospace Engineering
(ii) Avionics and
(iii) Physical sciences.
The total number of seats for the B.Tech Programmes in IIST for the academic year 2013-14 is 156. The seat matrix for different programmes is as follows:
(i) B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering : 60
(ii) B.Tech. in Avionics : 60
(iii) B.Tech. in Physical Sciences : 36
Examination (10+2 or Equivalent) Qualification : Candidates seeking admission to IIST should have passed their Qualifying Examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of the curriculum.
Candidates belonging to GEN and OBC categories must secure an aggregate of at least 70% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in the qualifying examination and those belonging to SC/ST/PD should have an aggregate of at least 60% marks in PCM.
Registration Fee :
1. Male candidates in GEN and OBC Rs. 600/- (Six Hundred only)
2. Female candidates in GEN and OBC Rs. 300/- (Three Hundred only)
3. All SC, ST, PD candidates Rs.300/-(Three Hundred only)
Steps to register Application online for Admission :
1. Visit the online application portal admission2013.iist.ac.in and fill all the details in the online application form.
2. After submitting all the information, Download/Print the Challan.
3. Enter the Bank Transaction Details by logging into the online application portal using Registration Number and Password.
4. Upload the scanned image in PDF/JPEG format of the Institute copy of Challan countersigned by Bank.

Online registration of application open : 20th May, 2013 (10 a.m.)
Online registration of application close:10th July, 2013 (11:30 p.m.)
Last date of remitting Registration fee : 12th July, 2013
Date of publishing Admission Rank List : 19th July,2013
