--> Negative Marking in Entrance Exam: The meaning of negative marking is that, if you answer the wrong for any question than you will reduce your marks for the same as well as more answers will also cut down for this/these wrong answer(s). In India mostly exams boards follow the same pattern for Negative Marking which is as under:
  • 1 right answer =1 mark

  • If 1 wrong answer= Reduce .25 marks
Therefore, if a candidates attempts 120 questions out of 200 in which each question carry 1 mark then candidate will get 120 marks. But aspirants right answers were only 80 then total marks will be as under:
