The AIEEE issues 3 types of rank card named as the All India Rank, the state rank, category rank and notify the eligibility of the candidate for the central counselling. The marks obtained in theses cards will be valid for all the 30 National Institutes of Technology.

For these entrance tests can only be written if the candidate would have domicile of the respective state. Few states don’t conduct their own entrance examination for admissions to engineering colleges are Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. They see only AIEEE state rank of the candidates.
